Excitement this Sunday!  In Golden gate Park, San Francisco, we’re meeting up with Catherine Hall for a photo walk.  It was only four or five weeks ago that we ran into Catherine for the first time on another photo walk at Stanford led by Trey Ratcliff of StuckInCustoms.com.  She was showing us some tips for lighting and perspective in portrait photography.  I’ll post my best photo on Monday.

In Alaska, not all the glaciers are gone

Across Kachemak Bay in Homer Alaska, you can see one in this photo.  I have a close-up of the glacier posted here and, for me, this evokes a real sense of freshness that I felt when I was setting up the shot.

More Photographs of Homer

The one day I spent photographing in Homer while my friends fished was very productive.

Beautiful picture. I just took one of the sunrise yesterday. One of the epic things about the 49th state for sure. Thanks for sharing =)

I will be visiting Alaska in the next couple of months and as an aspiring photographer I have been looking at your images and they really blow me away. It amazes me how you manage to capture the light so well in really difficult conditions! Love the blog!
